How to Set Up a Night Feed Station

The 2am feed goes a lot smoother when everything you need is already within reach. A night feed station is just that: one spot, set up once, so you're not hunting for things in the dark.

1. Pick your spot

Your bed, a feeding chair or the couch. Choose the place you'll actually feed most nights and set it up there.

2. Soft light, not the big light

A bright overhead light can wake the whole house. A dimmable, portable breastfeeding night light gives you just enough light to see the latch, change a nappy or check on baby. The bodie night light is touch controlled, so you can switch it on and dim it one-handed.

3. Keep it within arm's reach

  • Water bottle
  • Snacks
  • Nursing pads
  • Burp cloths
  • Phone and charger
  • Nipple balm

A bedside nursing organiser keeps all of this in one place instead of scattered on the floor.

4. Dress for feeding

Wear something that makes feeding easy. A nursing singlet with a built-in bra means less fumbling at 2am.

5. Reset in the morning

Refill the water, restock the pads and recharge the light, so tonight's station is ready to go.
